2. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.

3. In the order indicated on the heat sink, loosen the four Phillips captive screws (1) that secure the

heat sink to the base enclosure.

4. Remove the fan/heat sink assembly from the system board (2).

NOTE: The thermal material must be thoroughly cleaned from the surfaces of the heat sink (1) and

processor (2) each time the heat sink is removed. Thermal material is included with all heat sink and

processor spare part kits.
